Greg has been writing songs since 1993 and has found that the songs that were orignally from moments of private worship with God can also connect other people with God in a meaningful way. They both feel that God has given them the gift of leading people closer to Him though music and want to use that as much as they can to build up the church and to draw in those who aren't yet living for God. 

The music is acoustic/folk/rock. Most of the songs tell a story. Most are mellow... with an edge. Hard to describe. They have released one full-length project, "Another Road Trip" recorded in 1996. 

Their second full-length project, "Lord, Hear My Voice", has just been released in June of 2000. LHMV is a worship project... all original songs intended to be for group musical worship times.

basic's prayer is that through the musical expression of their relationship with Jesus, that LOTS of people would be connected with our awesome, merciful, loving, powerful God.
