CRISIS was formed in 1998 and began serving as the house band of the North Eaton Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)'s new, contemporary worship service.  Drummer Glen Thompson approached fellow church member and acoustic guitarist/singer/songwriter Diana Tyler one Sunday morning after hearing her special music presentation of a song she had written ("Friends in the Faith").  This drummer and guitarist--and the guitarist's bass guitar-playing husband, Tim--found a lead guitarist willing to help start the weekly church service ministry.  Justin Smith took over lead responsibilities in April of 1999 when the quartet entered the studio and recorded their debut cd, "CRISIS and Diana Tyler."  The acclaimed album offers original Christian rock, pop, alternative, blues, folk, country, and even a capella doo-wop (with the help of NECC friends Toni Harless and Linda Rodak).  Audio files, photos, and more information, are available on the official CRISIS website: www.angelfire.com/oh2/crisis
CRISIS currently tours when the band's schedules allow.  The members continue to serve in various ministries at NECC.
