When she was 18, Deborah began pursuing her acting dreams with theatre, then commercials, and eventually developed a business teaching acting classes.  She still longed to be a singer, but although her voice was pleasant, there was nothing special about it, even after taking voice lessons.

With all of her goals and dreams, Deborah did not know that she was being prepared for a purpose that would take her past her own ambitions and into something that would be more fulfilling and meaningful than anything she had ever dreamed up in her mind.

When she was 21, she discovered for the first time in her life that, not only was God real, but that He loved her so much that He sent His Son to give up His life and die in the cross for her, and that He wanted to have a personal relationship with her.  She surrendered her life to Him, and for the first time in her life, she knew she really was loved.  

Deborah stopped singing for a while, but the longing to sing never left her, and suddenly her voice became strong and beautiful practically overnight.  She believes that God gave her a voice to sing for His glory, purpose and plan; to express her love to Him, and to express His love to people through her songs.

Throughout her life, Deborah experienced a great deal of pain, trauma, and loss, but now she has discovered the healing and restoring power of God, which now gives her music purpose and meaning.  Deborah is a psalmist, and when she sings, people often literally feel free from their pain and their bondages.

Deborah longs to see the generation that has been labeled generation X  find their destiny as the leaders of God's invincible army who will Carry the Light of Jesus Christ around the world, and who, like Joshua, will know their God and do great exploits.

From her own experiences, Deborah carries a message of love.  Her passion is to give a drink of water to those who are desperately thirsty, to carry hope to those who have none, bring healing to a broken heart, and to show people the way out of their darkness.   
Love's Passion, Deborah's Pop-Dance CD, was borne from this passion.  Love's Passion, the title song, is a love song to Jesus, the only One who can set us free.  Carry Your Light is a call to people to reach out to the world, and Into Your Eyes is a song about what happens when the One who knows everything about you, looks into your eyes and into the depths of your soul.
