| The Pledge |
 The Pledge" is a name that not only signifies a vow to Christ, but also a dedication to a "nation under God". the Pledge is a unity of 5 multitalented musicians with a desire to create music and deliver the "good news" of Jesus Christ. Starting off with the explosive foundation of drummer Josh Dillard and bassist Joe Long, adding mind numbing guitar brought forth by Shawn Myers and Cliff Spruill. Then topping of the experience with spine tingling vocals of Mark Daniels II concluding the ensemble to bring forth a God inspired rock event rivaling any venue at any caliber. With growling vocals, dirty guitar and pounding drums and bass, God speaks loud and clear through the music and testimony of the Pledge. Grabbing the attention of on lookers while focusing attention on their audience of ONE. Combining personal testimony and gospel inspired lyrics amplified to penetrate hearts and souls of any age (Although some volumes not suitable for adults.) the Pledge hails from the central Ohio area, which has a strong tradition of hard rock and metal roots. Cliff, a life long resident of Groveport, Ohio, met Shawn from Whitehall through a mutual guitar instructor to fulfill a desire to create a band that can infiltrate today's market with a positive message. Adding best friends Josh and Mark, students at Groveport High School, almost filled all the positions. Then the joining of Joe on bass filled the line up and opened the door to ministry opportunities with a punch formed what is now known as "the Pledge". With their foundation built on God's word and plan. the Pledge continues to preach the gospel in the forum and volume that gets the worlds attention. God first, then family, then the band the motto followed daily by 5 musicians playing music how God intended them. |
